Want to volunteer?
Volunteers are an indispensable asset to our organization. Our dedicated
volunteers deliver pet food to the aged, pull pets out of kill shelters, take pets
to veterinary appointments, help with fund raising events, adoption events
and the list goes on. By becoming a volunteer with the St. Seton's Orphaned
Animals, you have the ability to make life brighter for people and for animals.
Volunteer Requirements
•6 month commitment for 2 hours per week
•12 years old or older (ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult 18
years of age or older; adult must be an active volunteer and adult must
supervise)
•Possess customer service skills
•Must follow through with all commitments. While this is an unpaid, volunteer
position, the animals and people suffer when we do not honor our
commitments.
Current Volunteer Positions Available
•Temporary foster homes: provide temporary care (not more than 30 days) to
an orphaned dog or kitty while we find a permanent loving home. All food and
supplies provided. No cost to you.
•Foster/trainer: provide foster care for friendly, adult dogs who need to learn
basic commands, house training and socialization. We provide dog training.
This is a 40 day comittment.
•Pet photographer: take photos of animals who need homes and for events.
•Fund raising: organize fundraisers for funds to help the animals.
•Meals on Wheels program:
-Put donation boxes in supermarkets for people food and pet food.
Collect food each week.
-We also need volunteers to deliver pet food and people food to low income
senior citizens who are shut-ins and other disabled people.
•Grooming: we need professional groomers to donate grooming services to
orphaned dogs and cats.
•Off Site Adoption Assistant: help staff set-up, care for and assist with animal
adoptions at off site locations
•Special Events Assistant: work as a cashier or cook for our concession
trailer. This is a fundraiser that supports our programs.
•Adoption promoter: promote orphaned animals via Facebook, Twitter and
other social network medias.
